Using Virtual FollowMe to Print to any Copier on Campus

Virtual FollowMe Print is a virtual print queue that holds your documents for up to 12 hours.  You may release your document from any walk-in copiers on campus by tapping your SPC ID card on the card reader on the copier or your StarID and StarID password. Virtual FollowMe Print queue is installed into every college owned Windows computers through a group policy.  If you don’t see it on your list of printers, please contact the IT Helpdesk to have it installed.  

To Print

  1. When you are ready to print, use your browser or application’s print function as you normally would
  2. Select the "Virtual_FollowMe_Print on prinstsrv1" printer
    1. By default, it’s set to black and white.  You may change to color if want to print in color
  3. Click Print
  4. To release your job, go to any of the walk-in copiers and tap your SPC ID card on the card reader or login to the copier with your StarID and StarID password.

    1. Walk-in copier locations: 
      1. Lower Level: L225*, L239*, L275, L275, L275
        First Floor: 1205*, 1260*, 1262*, 1265, 1300*, 1340, 1365, 1413
        Second Floor: 2435
        Third Floor: 3110, 3225, 3435
        Fourth Floor: 4415
        * denotes black/white only
  5. Press on the Release icon on the screen
  6. Select the job(s) that you want to release then press Start
  7. Once done, please press ACCESS to logout of the copier.

If you want to access your print/copy summary: Go to http://printsrv1:9191/user and login with your StarID and StarID password.  You must be on campus to access this site.
