I've read that blue light from computer screens can cause eye fatigue. Do I need a blue light filter for my computer monitor?
The light emitted from devices with screens, such as computer monitors, smartphones, and tablets, contains blue light, which in some people can lead to eye strain, headaches, and fatigue if used for several hours a day. To help minimize this, you can use the Night Light setting in Windows 10 to adjust the color of your screen.
To turn on Night Light, use the Windows 10 search function:
Then type in Night Light, then click Open:
Turn on Night Light, then use the slider to adjust the settings. A lower number will show more blue light; a higher number will show less.
You can also schedule when Night Light is active, such as later in the day, when night is nearing, and you have had hours of screen time.
